The Digital Hype ("we", "us", "our") operates DineHub, a restaurant management platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data collected through DineHub at dinehub.thedigitalhype.com and all associated subdomains and services.

2. Data We Collect
2.1 Restaurant (Client) Data
When you register and use DineHub, we collect:

We do not store card numbers, CVV, UPI IDs, or bank account details. All payment processing is handled by Razorpay.
2.2 Your Restaurant's Customer Data
You may store your customers' data in DineHub including:
- Name, phone number, email address
- Date of birth (for birthday rewards)
- Order history and loyalty points
- Visit frequency and spending patterns
This data is stored on your behalf. You are the data controller for your customers' data. We act as a data processor. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your customers.
2.3 Automatically Collected Data
- IP address and device type (for security logging)
- Browser and OS (for compatibility)
- Session data and authentication tokens
3. How We Use Data
- To provide, operate, and maintain the DineHub platform
- To process your subscription payments via Razorpay
- To send you transactional emails (account verification, payment receipts, expiry reminders)
- To provide customer support when you contact us
- To improve and develop new platform features
- To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorised access
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data or your customers' data for advertising, selling to third parties, or profiling unrelated to service delivery.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Razorpay โ payment processing. They receive your name, email, phone, and payment amount. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy at razorpay.com/privacy
- Hosting provider โ your data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider (Hostinger). Data is hosted in their data centres.
- WhatsApp API provider โ if you connect a WhatsApp API (360dialog, Interakt, Wati), your customer messages pass through that provider. Their terms apply.
- SMTP provider โ if you configure SMTP for email campaigns, emails pass through your chosen provider (Brevo, Gmail, etc.)
- Legal requirements โ if required by law, court order, or government authority
5. Data Security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (256-bit SSL encryption)
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt โ we cannot recover your password
- API keys and SMTP passwords stored in the database are not displayed in plain text on screen
- Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only
- We conduct regular security reviews
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to industry-standard practices.
6. Data Retention
- Active account data is retained for as long as your subscription is active
- After account cancellation or expiry, data is retained for 30 days, then deleted
- Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial law
- You may request data export before cancellation at any time
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:

- Correction โ update incorrect information via Settings or by contacting us
- Deletion โ request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export โ download your customer data as CSV from DineHub at any time
- Portability โ receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection โ object to any processing you believe is unlawful

8. Cookies
DineHub uses only essential cookies โ session tokens required for login. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies that could be used to track you across websites.
9. Children's Privacy
DineHub is a business software platform not intended for use by persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Compliance
This policy is designed to comply with:
- Information Technology Act, 2000 (India)
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA)
- Reserve Bank of India guidelines on payment data
- TRAI regulations for commercial communications
